Road to China: Emerald Selected by UKTI for Trade Mission to China!

The Road to China

Director of Emerald Business Communications Sarah Windrum has been selected by UKTI to take part in their trade mission to China.

Sarah will travel with other businesses selected for the ‘Technology is Great’ programme to champion UK technology at the Shanghai World Expo Center in October.

“I was invited to attend a UKTI webinar regarding Smart Technology,” Sarah explains, “and they then invited businesses to put in an application for the trade missions to Asia. I had not thought about exports being applicable to service industries like mine but after speaking with Kati Hope from the UKTI West Midlands team it became clear that it was something worth pursuing. I was thrilled to be accepted on the mission to China and I am very excited about championing Leamington and UK technology.”

Kati Hope from UKTI commented “UK service providers are well regarded around the world, we are the third largest services exporter behind the US & Germany. We look forward to working with Emerald to help them investigate and hopefully realise the opportunities in China.”

Emerald Business Communications offers a fully managed mobile technology solution particularly for businesses in the logistics and construction industries. They work with local companies including Britannia Squab and New Horizon Logistics as well as national businesses including Breezemount UK Ltd who are the home delivery partner for Ikea in the UK.
